I love the Indianapolis Colts. And I always will.

But right now, I do not love Jim Caldwell.

The Saints, the second best team in the league, lost today as well. The difference? They lost with their starters. Starters, Jim Caldwell.

Why was it necessary to gift wrap this win for the Jets? I understand it’s the season for giving and all, but what about ME?

What about us Hoosiers, those of us who reside in Colts Nation and bleed blue? What about the other Colts fans around the country?

Why couldn’t you give us the easily tangible and historic undefeated season WE and the players deserve?

Mark Sanchez, Tommy Trojan bless him, is mediocre at best. The Jets were 7-7. Is that a team we should be losing to?

And Curtis Painter? We can’t even blame it on him. Did it look like he wanted to be in there? No. The poor guy looked absolutely miserable. He had no Wayne, no Clark. What did you expect him to do? He looked like true-freshman Matt Barkley against Washington out there!

Peyton’s face? He was hurtin to get in. It pained me to see the look on his face.

And Saturday’s tears? Really, Jim?

Also, what was up with that two-point conversion in the uhm, third quarter? Really, now? If Adam would’ve taken and made it, I’m sure things would have ended at least a bit differently.

Is this going to happen against the Bills too?

Given our history, wouldn’t it be better to play our main dudes? Maybe, gee, i don’t know… get some momentum going?

And speaking of history, you were making it!

I bleed blue, no doubt. But my heart is also made of cardinal and gold.  I have to got to say, watching the Colts unnecessarily lose to the Jets on tv was torture compared to watching my Trojans losing to Stanford AND Arizona, in person at the Coliseum.

Just sayin’.

COLTS

Yes.
